HISTORY

Presidential Decree No. 210 dated June 8, 1973 which was subsequently recognized as Barangay under Presidential Decree 577 dated September 21, 1974 "Declaring all barrios and Citizens Assemblies in the Philippines as Barangay" and by virtue of an Executive Order #28 dated June 25, 1975 issued by the then Mayor Norberto S. Amoranto pursuant to P.D. 577.

The first Barangay Official who acted as Tinyente del Barrio was COL. OBANA. He was replaced by Barangay Captain JAIME CLEOFE in 1967, who was replaced by virtue of an Executive Appointment by DR. GREG LLAGUNO (1986-1989), who was replaced back again by MR. JAIME CLEOFE (1989). From June 1989 to August 2002 MR. PONCIANO P. MORTERA JR. took over as Barangay Captain. He was replaced by MR. ROMEO F. ALVAREZ (May 2002 to November 2010). Replaced by Punong Barangay MR. REYNALDO P. NITRO who served two (2) extended terms and completed three (3) terms from December 2010 to November 15, 2023. And was replaced by Punong Barangay SONNY "BONG" C. VILLARBA who won last October 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSKE) Election.
